Book reviews
“Abby’s ability to persevere in the face of adversity is inspiring. I didn’t anticipate Laughter at Dawn being such an uplifting, heartfelt, and potent read. Jo Ellen Capps’s writing is colorful and interesting, and she makes excellent use of dialogue to pull the reader into the plot. It’s impossible to put this book down without feeling affected and motivated by the protagonist’s journey, and it’s essential reading for anybody interested in learning about the consequences of not speaking up against injustice.”
